The inaugural London Bad Luck Live, hosted by award-winning synthstar Laurie Black. Join the Bad Luck club at The Black Heart Weds 11th December for live music and intrigue from dark, stylish retro duo The Hush Hush, and dreamy pop goth from Bristol-based BLED. Plus a live set from Laurie and her synths too.
BLED
Conjurors of eccentric goth disco, BLED deliver hyperactive performances that elicit a rave-like euphoria. Formed in Bristol and emigrated to the North East, the duo consisting of Jamy Crozier and Leo Himmelblau can be identified by their monochromatic red and blue style.
LAURIE BLACK
Classically trained pianist, turned to the dark side of live synthesisers, with a tongue-in-cheek glint-in-the-eye, Laurie Black has been described as the “lovechild of Gary Numan and Victoria Wood”. Winner of Solo Show at Reykjavik Fringe and Emerging Artist of Adelaide Fringe 2018. Tour support for Adam Ant's 2022 ANTICS UK tour.
THE HUSH HUSH
From The Doors to Del Rey, Nick Cave to Nina Simone, Luke Fraser’s nostalgic crooning vocals blend with Rob Mawer’s surf-meets-Bond baritone electric guitar to create an atmosphere that transports their listeners back to pop’s 50s/60s golden age, while mixing in the mood of a red-neon-lit Lynchian bar scene.
Tickets £13, more on the door.
